“The best comfort food will always be greens, cornbread, and fried chicken.” – Maya Angelou

Comfort food can be a comfort for a lot of reasons. When alone, it often transports you happy times, a “taste memory” associated with family and friends. When shared with others, it\’s often a step-off point to a dialog where you share memories and experiences. You learn more about others – and yourself.

In Chapter 12, Brooke learns about “gas station chicken” and some darkside details about her good friend. She also reaches a compromise … of sorts.

So let’s keep reading. Here’s Chapter 12.

Remember, this is a shared experience. Your comments and suggestions at the end of each chapter will help us pick the best route so we can all end up back at Tall Clover Farms by the end of the book.

As always, the conversation starts here.
